Koby~Affectionate­ German Shepherd/ Shiba Inu - $50

Breed: Shiba Inu Age: ADULT Koby is a VERY affectionate guy who loves to be loved. He currently lives with 3 gentle, loving children ages 5 & under. He has shown love & adoration to EVERY child he comes across. He has, unfortunately, become a predominantly outdoor dog. He would like to be inside more, we are unable to fulfill that need any longer. He will do great in a home with gentle, loving children or a one on one situation will do well for him also, he LOVES to be spoiled. He has no known health problems. While at the groomer's recently, there was a friendly loose cat there warming KOBY up to his Feline ways. KOBY had never been around kitties before. I was thrilled to see that he did superb with the cat. KOBY was very inquisitive as to what a cat was but warmed up & really wanted to play with it. He showed no aggression at all towards the cat. The groomer's professional opinion of KOBY with cats were: "He should be just fine with cats, the cat will just need to have a separate place where he/she can have to escape from the dog, should the dog's play become too playful for him." (If the cat runs, Koby may mistake it for play & chase it & hurt it unintentionally.)­ She recommends the slow leash introductions & it really is in your kitty's paws if he/she want to be around Koby or not. She recommends also doing a baby gate to allow for immediate refuge separation from any new dog. He is an Alpha male & lives with 2 other dogs. He will be just fine being separated from them. He is an excellent varmint dog & will not allow a rodent anywhere near his outdoor domain. He has been a great dog for the most part. He is crate trained. Although we have slacked as good dog parents these past few years, we have maintained the healthy natural diet that we have always given him. He is currently being fed Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. He has never had an accident in the house. We are hoping for a great match for him to live out the rest of his life.
